How Can I Scan a Photo, Edit It, and Save It as a JPEG on a Library Computer?

First, look for one of the library computers that have a scanner attached. Ask a librarian if you do not see them.
  1. Place photo in scanner.
  2. Open Microsoft Paint.
  3. Click “File.”
  4. Select “From scanner or camera.”
  5. Scanner should begin scanning photo.
  6. Photo file will open in Paint but defaults to either a bitmap file (.bmp) or a portable network graphic (.png).
  7. Make any desired edits in Paint.
  8. Click “File” again.
  9. Hover cursor over “Save as.”
  10. Select “JPEG.”
  11. Alter File Name and Location.
  12. C’est fini.
