What Is CourseCompus and Should I take a Math Course Online?

NOTE: Learning Support is the new name for Developmental Studies per Saundra King.

CourseCompass.com enables students to take Developmental Studies Math or Basic Math online. Students should take online courses when they feel comfortable using technology and have a pretty good understanding of math. If you are a student who fits this category and you have good self-discipline this type of online course will work for you. If you need any help during the process you can go to the math lab upstairs in the IMC building. The math lab always has math tutors available.

If you're really good in math you may want to try the new DSPM 0892 class. It combines DSPM 0800 and 0850 so you may complete two classes in one semester and save yourself some money.

If you need a place to access CourseCompass.com, feel free to come to the library.

The Do's and Dont's of Summer Registration, 5-15-09

Summer late registration is in progress but section changes should be made in
person and with approval.
You cannot add a different section of the same summer course you drop online at this time.

Dropping and adding courses may affect your financial aid. You are encouraged to
visit the financial aid office for more information first.

Dropping or adding courses will affect your fees owed. Please visit the Bursar's website
(Refund Policies and Refund Calendar) for more information first. Late fees are in effect for all summer registrations.

You may NOT change sections except in person and with approval. (If the summer
course you wish to add is closed, you cannot register without a Permit from the department.)

You may drop summer classes. *Exception: approval is required to drop Developmental
Studies (DSP) courses. A completed 'Registration and Drop/Add Form" must be
signed by your instructor, and then taken to the Transitional Studies Office
(IMC 221/222) for processing. Contact the Transitional Studies office at
423-697-3221.

You may add summer classes online or in person using this
calendar - late registration fees will apply. Any add attempts after this time
require written departmental approval and must be done in person.
