If you do not see the CSTCCguest Wireless Network window after you click on your Interent browser:
Check your network connections. Right click on My Network Places on your desktop, Click on Properties. The new window should show you the CSTCCguest Wireless Network Connection. Look at the signal bars to see if you are getting a connection.
If you are getting a signal you may have your laptop's firewall set to block outside connections. To check this click on the CSTCC guest Wireless Network icon to highlight it. Then to the left of the window you should see a side menu called Network Tasks. Click on Change Windows Firewall Settings. Change them to allow the CSTCCguest WiFi connection.
From the Network Task menu you can also check your Available Wireless Networks, Refresh or Choose a Wireless Network.
Finally, check to see if your laptop has an anti-virus program that is current. If the College's Wifi detects a laptop that does not have an up-to-date anti-virus program, the Wifi server automatically blocks access to the wireless network.
I'm in an Online Course and My Item Won't Print.
Many of the online courses such as eLearn, eLive, RODP courses and Course Compass use frames. Frames are like seperate windows from the menu and sidebars. Some have one or two print icons set up on the frames. Try both print icons to see which prints the frame you need.
Another option is to Select All of the frame information you want printed then go to the option on the browser toolbar. You can also try a right click inside the frame and select Print from there. Always ask at the Help Desk in the library if you would like more help.

I am in Course Compass and my Questions/Assignments won't open.
Our computers in the library have the pop-up window blocker turned on to prevent advertisements from popping up all over the monitors.
In Course Compass pop-windows are used for the Question/Assignment windows. It is easy to disable or turn off the pop-up blocker. Look on your browser menu bar at the top of your screen. Somewhere in the middle you will see the pop-up window blocker icon. Click on it and select the off option. Click on your question/assignment link again and it should open this time.

Help! I've never taken an eLearn (online) course?
Don't panic just head to the IMC building or Library entrance. On the second floor of this building they are giving orientations to teach you how to use the eLearn (online) course.
I highly recommend that every new student taking an eLearn (online) course attend no matter how technology savy they are. There are several orientations today in IMC 125. The start times are: 9:30-10:30, 2:00 - 3:00, 5:30 - 6:30. NO RESERVATION NEEDED.
The next online (elearn courses)orientations are on September 2nd. 11:00 - 12:00, 5:30 - 6:30.

The main clue is in the website address that is given to you to login to the course.

RODP registration for Fall 2008 ended Friday, August 22nd at 4:30. In the catalog they are all the R50 sections. If you were registered and dropped because of non-payment you can still take the course by re-registering. Call for help at 1-888-298-8566 or e-mail Andrea Sanders at asanders@chattanoogastate.edu.

I've Checked in TigerWeb and Do Not See One or Any of the Classes I Signed Up to Take?
Take a deep breath here. Lets talk about the reasons this may be happening. If you just registered or registered late on a Friday your information has probably not had time to come up in the system. It is a very busy time. Though it may be hard to wait I suggest checking again 24 hours later. If your class starts tonight and you went through registration and confirmed your classes and its not showing, go to class anyway. The teacher will check the course roster and will ask about students not called. Explain that you've registered recently and your name may not be on it yet. Don't go into a lengthy explaination. Things will work out. Remember to double check your TigerWeb (student) account the next day to see if your classes have appeared. If not go to registration for help.

Did you sign up for an online course through Chattanooga State? These online courses do not have a physical class room or time scheduled to meet.

If there is a blank where the room number should be the class is held upstairs in the IMC building (Instructional Materials Center Building) located above the library. The Math Center and the Reading & Writing Center are located across from the elevator doors.

I Went to Class and I'm Not on the Roster
Students are deleted from class rosters due to non-payment or non-confirmation. If you went to class and are not on the roster (class roll) you are NOT registered. Therefore, it is IMPERATIVE that you go to the Student Services Building to re-register. Teachers will check their rosters daily through September 5th to identify students that have been re-enrolled.
