- Place photo in scanner.
- Open Microsoft Paint.
- Click “File.”
- Select “From scanner or camera.”
- Scanner should begin scanning photo.
- Photo file will open in Paint but defaults to either a bitmap file (.bmp) or a portable network graphic (.png).
- Make any desired edits in Paint.
- Click “File” again.
- Hover cursor over “Save as.”
- Select “JPEG.”
- Alter File Name and Location.
- C’est fini.

How Can I Scan a Photo, Edit It, and Save It as a JPEG on a Library Computer?
First, look for one of the library computers that have a scanner attached. Ask a librarian if you do not see them.
