I Received the Tiger Alert Welcome Email, What Do I Do Now?

1) If you only want to receive Tiger Alerts at your ChSCC official email address.

No further action is necessary.

2) If you want to also receive text messages or add additional email addresses.

You will need to opt-in individually through TigerWeb. Follow the directions below to take these necessary actions.

To set up the texting option for Tiger Alerts:
1. If you receive the welcome Tiger Alert test message on April 4, 2011, you are already registered and just need to logon and choose your other notification options. You must use your official ChSCC email address for “User-ID .” This is your x@mychattanoogastate.edu (student) address - not your A number. Tiger Alert will not recognize you by any other name.
2. Access TigerWeb and then click on the Tiger Alert button (Tiger head.). This will take you the vendor’s (RAVE) log-on page. The following link provides screen shot detail for each action necessary to set up the text messaging option and is also located next to the Tiger Alert button.
3. In the welcome email you will receive on Monday, April 4,2011, you will receive your logon information. Your ChSCC official email address will be listed as your User-ID and you will be given an initial password. You can logon to the Tiger Alert system by entering your ChSCC email address and password provided in the Monday email; however, we highly recommend that you change this password upon initial logon. Just click on Forgot Password and follow the instructions provided in the screen shot link below. http://content.chattanoogastate.edu/Rave_password_change.pdf
4. Once you have completed these actions, read the vendor’s (RAVE) Terms and Conditions. Once you have read and understood these conditions, click on the OK box.
5. Continue to follow the instructions. Once you enter your wireless carrier, you might receive an error message stating that your wireless carrier will need to enable certain codes on your phone in order for you to receive these types of alerts. You will be given, as part of the notice, excatly what you need to provide your carrier so they can enable your account to receive the alerts. This is something that you will need to handle individually. Once your carrier has made the change, you will receive a notice saying that you are now set up to receive text messages from Tiger Alert.
